What Bloomington is doing for citizens tonight

By: Diane Benjamin

Agenda: https://bloomingtonil.portal.civicclerk.com/event/4116/files/agenda/12728

This easily puts Jurgens in the top 5% of all wage earners in the country:

The meaningless ethics ordinance is on the Consent agenda, self regulating means no consequences:

In case someone claims Bloomington isn’t paying for the improvements to Sunnyside park, it’s still tax dollars paying for it. It also adds to the long list of maintenance required for “Quality of Life” Bloomington will defer in the future. Did your representatives ever get that requested list of total deferred maintenance?

I don’t know what changes were made to the Pubic Safety and Community Relations Board brochure because Exhibit A didn’t make the agenda:

See page 2: https://bloomingtonil.portal.civicclerk.com/event/4116/files/attachment/9065

The new brochure is posted but I don’t know what changed.

  1. $7.5 mil to improve a park??!? WTH?!? They going to replace the dirt 6 ft deep to grow tomatoes or what? Holy Toledo, don’t tell me the good old boy network isn’t alive in this town. Disgusting!

  2. Why doesnt anyone ever talk about the million dollar “study” the city paid for a yea rot two ago, to find options for the intersection of Empire/RT 9 and Veterans? Remember that? It quietly went away….

  3. Hey- Im on the left but have an honest question. I had heard that Andrew Swan was arrested in California on suspicion of murder. There is an article with his name in it, but I wasn’t sure if it was him or a different Andrew Swan. Did they move to Oceanside, California? Honestly not trying to troll- just trying to find out if its true or not.

  4. Yeah- they had a messy divorce. There was an affair and Andy really struggled to keep it together. He moved out to California and kind of went off the deep end a bit. I remember him wanting the FBI to investigate Becky. Didn’t seem to be very mentally healthy.
