At 10:00pm last night the east side was peaceably dark, no red blinking lights. At 6:00am this morning they were back – yes the windmills are turning again. If you don’t understand that Wind Energy is not sustainable due to the high cost, watch this video.

The Wind Turbine Farm east of Bloomington appears to have been deserted! The turbines have not been operational since at least Saturday morning.
I had a guy stop by the Bloomington Office of EDP this morning, the owner of the turbines. The office has been cleaned out – he only found a woman vacuuming.
On the door was also the name Horizon Wind Energy. The phone number for them has been disconnected.
If the field has been abandoned, who is on the hook for d-commissioning?
I talked to Matt Sorenson – County Board Chairman. He is going to investigate, he hasn’t spoken to the owners in over a year. He did say a bond exists to cover the costs if the field is abandoned.
The owners have a shed around the corner of Route 9 east and the Ellsworth road. A few vehicles are present, but workers are not present.

I’m getting conflicting reports. One guy said the Bloomington office was shut down at least a year ago. That doesn’t make sense since their name is still on the door. I would think the owners would have wanted to rent to somebody else by now.

Wow! Brady for Senate Inc received $1000. That’s Bill Brady, right? I sure hope that the Republicans aren’t thinking of running him for Governor again. If he couldn’t beat Quinn last time, when several other Republicans won state-wide races, there’s no way he’d beat him next time.

This is the problem we have right now but were slowly working through it. There are some big name Rino’s on the Donor list. How can we get take control from Democrats when our leadership does all the same things. Cross and Radagno have got to go

Why do you assume the wind farm will be decommissioned. If the company went bankrupt, another may buy the assets and continue the farm.
Subsidies are ending if Congress doesn’t approve more. Wind isn’t viable without them.
