Let me see if I have this straight. New York State is cutting taxes, creating tax free zones, and doing everything possible to attract businesses. Of course they drove businesses away for years with high taxes.
They are run by Democrats. Normally Democrats like taxes, remember “tax the rich” is their mantra. They are even so serious about cutting taxes, they are running ads on TV. Wonder if they run just in Illinois? After all, Texas, Wisconsin, Indiana and Florida are all vying for Illinois businesses to move.
Hum, have New York Democrats finally learned that low taxes actually generate more revenue? Think they will teach the rest of the Democratic Party? Think Illinois is listening? Maybe New York Democrats will get thrown out of the party!
I can hear the liberal screams from here.
The people who came for opportunity, for work, for freedom to leave the shackles behind. That’s what built this country and without it, they’ll all play hell to attract anyone. NY can promise the world cause they won’t deliver.
