In 2011, 60 Minutes exposed that insider trading was legal for members of congress, but illegal for everyone else.  Congress quickly passed legislation making it more difficult for them to profit from information they have, but us little people don’t.   Last month congress repealed the part of the legislation requiring internet disclosure.  http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2013-04-27/news/ct-edit-stockact-20130427_1_long-dormant-bill-insider-identity-theft  This protects them and staffers, but does nothing for the public.
