I think the problem has been located!  Sunday op-ed by Gary Sawyer of the Pantagraph:

Gary was trying to explain why being a reporter is a great job, even though it was rated as the WORST job of 2013.  Quote:

In all likelihood, the information we create on a daily basis is read by . . . .

Did you catch it?   Hint:  News isn’t “reported” it’s “created”!

I believe that’s what the public has been saying for years and why nobody wants the liberal news anymore.
