More trouble for the Coliseum!

Flex Booted From PBL; to Miss Championship and Entire 2015 Season

BLOOMINGTON- The most successful team, as far as wins go, in the history of the US Cellular Coliseum is no longer in their league.

The Bloomington Flex Basketball team, two time winners of the Premier Basketball League Championship, was suspended from the league Thursday afternoon. The action excludes the team from the championship series, set to begin this weekend, and the entire 2015 season.

According to the press release from the PBL, “effective immediately, the Bloomington Flex have been disqualified from championship competition, have forfeited the division championship and have been suspended from the PBL for the 2015 season due to its unwillingness and inability to participate in the championship series.”

A call to the Flex was not immediately returned.

This matter, if upheld, will certainly impact whether the basketball team would remain at the Coliseum. The Flex have had issues with attendance despite their massive early success.
