What the Pantagraph said in 2004

by:  Diane Benjamin

I found this while looking for something else.  Before the Coliseum opened, an editorial in the Pantagraph questioned why Coliseum management wasn’t put out for bid.  They even called the Council action “a bad practice”.  I’ve called for cancelling the current contract and putting it out for bid.   CIAM has been repeatedly violated their contract without consequences.

Once again, the promised review of the Coliseum is not on the agenda at tonight’s meeting.

I can’t legally print the story, but back in 2004 the Pantagraph was correct.

Have you seen an editorial lately?  Since they no longer question City policies, don’t hold your breathe.

If you have a Bloomington Library card, you can read the entire editorial for free. http://watchtower.bloomingtonlibrary.org:2400/newsstand/docview/252619764/A5A192BF64114EA3PQ/7?accountid=9627
