The original article started with an email I received. See it here: http://blnnews.com/2014/09/08/dont-drive-this-road-in-bloomington/
The pictures show the danger your tires are in driving over it. Yesterday I received another email saying the State was out patching holes.
This morning I received one more email:
Ms. Benjamin,
I was asked to respond to you regarding US 150 @ the railroad crossing. US 150 at this location is under the jurisdiction of the Illinois Department of Transportation. I contacted them to make them aware of your concerns. They informed me that their railroad staff has identified this location for a possible crossing replacement and are working to secure funding. Until the replacement is done it is the railroads responsibility to ensure the crossing is safe for the motoring public. The public can file a complaint about a crossing at the following Illinois Commerce Commission website:

Sincerely,

A “possible” replacement isn’t good enough. You now know where to file a complaint – it’s up to you to do it.
