Renner will want more $$$$$$

by:  Diane Benjamin

“Every Tax is a Pay Cut … A Tax Cut is a Pay Raise”  (So good I copied it:  http://www.cltg.org/)

Tari Renner does not understand that or care.  He WILL propose a PROPERTY TAX increase to fund next years budget.  He mentioned numerous times during this year’s budget discussions that Bloomington City Property Taxes are extremely low.  After raising 3 other taxes, your property is next.

Tari is stacking the Council with YES votes, his picks are no different from your boss handing out pay cuts.  According to Tari government is entitled to your money because his plans are more important than what you would spend money on.  Tari believes government creates economic activity.  They don’t.  They redistribute your money to projects they want.  If their utopia doesn’t work, throw more money at it.  Build monuments to yourself.  By the time it’s obvious the plan failed, Renner won’t be in office anymore.  He won’t be blamed now, that’s all that matters.

The American Dream was NEVER what can government do for me?  Bloomington’s government wants to entertain you, create monuments to themselves, and use YOUR money to do it.  Normal already has, but evidently citizens in Normal don’t care.  Not one conservative has stepped up to challenge the Koos agenda.  Bloomington is faring only slightly better.  Alderwoman Stearns hasn’t announced if she is running again.  If she doesn’t, only Alderman Lower will remain as your voice.

Nobody has stepped up to challenge Sage.

The person who got petitions to challenge Schmidt has a Facebook page saying he lives in Normal.

Nobody has stepped up to challenge Painter.

Hopefully Alton Franklin will run against Renner’s latest appointment in Ward 8.

Congratulations Bloomington, you enslaved yourselves because you allow clowns to run your City.  Petitions to run don’t need turned in until November, plenty of time.

.

Below is the short version of recent Council actions.  I could list plenty more reasons to change the balance of power on the Council.  If you aren’t capable of doing a better job than any of these YES voters, you deserve whatever they dish out.

The League of Women Voters supported ObamaCare.  Mayor Renner appointed a supporter of self-described Socialist Jan Schakowski.  Gregor is responsible for the less than ethical art gallery in Renner’s office.  Campaign contributors have art FOR SALE in YOUR City Hall building.  Gregor also doesn’t know how to spell!

  1. Another $5K down the tubes that will be no better than a few hours of research on the internet. Thank you Painter and Schmidt for the motion to waste more of out tax money,,,NOT!

      1. $5K per month, $60K per year, $300K in 5 years, $600K in a decade etc. Total waste of money for something that can be found on the internet. Better yet maybe Alderman Schmidt should teach some of the other alderman how to use the library which is reportedly her expertise. So much information but so much taxpayer money to waste. Tsk, tsk, oh the joy the liberals get when fleecing the taxpayers.
