According to the Dorris Law firm website, Amelia Buragas graduated from

  • the University of Illinois in 2000 – Bachelors Degree – Journalism
  • the University of Wisconsin in 2004 – Masters Degree – Journalism
  • the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2010

Somehow, between 2003 and 2007 she had $24,700 to donate to Democrat candidates and causes.

Somehow her dad made the same contributions to the same people or party – mostly within days of each other.

Amelia was listed as an intern at Knothe & Bruce.  She was a reporter for Cheese Magazine.

The following chart is from information on OpenSecrets.org.

Anybody see a problem?  I wonder where the $24,700 came from?

As a student, Amelia had $2000 to give to Dick Durbin?:

Is Daniel your brother Amelia?  Where did he get money to donate as a student?

I’m sure there’s no problem with trying to skirt campaign finance laws, aren’t you?

Try not to laugh next time somebody says local elections are non-partisan.

  1. “Is Daniel your brother Amelia?”
I ran into a similar situation trying to track down relatives to someone. First I went to http://www.findagrave if I knew they had a close relative who died. I did a search there and bingo someone posted the obit and other relative information. Stupid people who post that information don’t follow the website rules not to post living relatives names. I didn’t have to pay to find what I was looking for.

Anyhow what you posted in this blog looks quite suspicious to me. I could never understand why people donate to politician’s myself especially in those $$ amounts. Give it to those who are in need of it through some legit organization.

  2. Wow, all that money donated to John Edwards campaign as a man who cheated on his wife as she battled liver cancer. If nothing else it shows a propensity for foolish spending.

  3. This is Illinois…nothing to see here..keep moving..No one ever hides money or donations like this.

  4. The same can be said about Gingrich and Giuliani so what your point? This web site has two donations buttons, one which is a PAC. So whose hiding money?

    1. That was your last comment dude. You aren’t smart enough and you are unwilling to open your eyes and ears. Go be obnoxious somewhere else.

        1. Renner has the law to follow. I write my own law. If he says something coherent I might reconsider.

He just tried again. If there is no common sense visible, he gets deleted

  5. You want “open books”. Where are your open books? Why do you have a PAC donation button? Who’s donating to that PAC? Why do you have a donation button for money that apparently goes just to you with no accounting? You can keep on saying that these questions are “incoherent” or that you “write” your own laws and your accountable to no one. But isn’t the height of hypocrisy to demand transparency when you aren’t exactly transparent?
You can keep on deleting my questions and telling me I’m not “smart”. Believe me, the candidates that you support should have to answer those questions that you will not. Delete away, but these questions will not go away with deletion.

    1. Do you even know what a PAC is? Did you know it requires reports to be filed that are available on-line? Once again, your ignorance is showing.

      1. Yes, I know exactly what a PAC is…My question is that you’re always going on about partisanship on this blog. Having a PAC is pretty darn partisan on your part. One would have to wonder IF are you going to post your PAC contributors? What good for the Goose is good for the Gander…

    2. I for one am satisfied with the fact that I can look it up on the net. No hiding here. There is no reason for Diane to post something that you or anyone else can look up if they want to, except to satisfy you which I would figure is a waste of time. No reason for Diane to ask how high when you say jump.

  6. If it’s public then post it on this blog. You seem to have no trouble posting other people’s political contributions. The fact is that PAC’s do not necessary have to disclose all of their contributors and funds before the election depending on when they are reported to the FEC.

      1. Again, I know how to find it. It’s really sad that someone claiming to be “new media” and a “muckraker” is not forthcoming with her radical political activities and how it is funded. It is also telling that you post opponents political donations that were made years ago, but when it comes to YOUR donations and donations by YOUR party you become coy. This marks you as being just as bad or just as corrupt as the people you say you want to replace.
