April 7th Bloomington lives or gets crushed

By:  Diane Benjamin

Bloomington is stuck with David Sage and Karen Schmidt for another 4 years – neither has an opponent on April 7th.

You are NOT stuck with Renner appointees Joni Painter and Diana Hauman.  You can choose to not be stuck with Renner’s choice for Ward 4 – Amelia Buragas.

Even if your alderman is not up for election, this vote will affect your pocketbook.

Did you see Painter and Hauman voted to buy the Sugar Creek Packing property?  How many millions will Renner want to demolish the site and turn it into something else?  (But garbage fees have to be raised?)  Did you hear that site is part of revitalizing downtown?  Renner is obviously not done.  Everything Renner does is patterned after Chris Koos and what Normal has spent.

You too can be in millions of dollars of debt!

The April 7th election will be completely based on who votes.  If the Renner gets more people out to vote for his choices, he has a free pass to spending.

If 3 people are added to the Council who actually represent citizens instead of pretending there are no spending limits, the path will be harder for him.

The final push to get out the vote is on now.  It’s going to take every person who wants to stop Renner.

Start watching for who is supporting Renner’s picks:  Media, Chamber of Commerce, Unions, Economic Development Groups.  Ask yourself why?
