I thought the last time I posted clogged street drains the City would have a pretty good idea where they are. They probably drove through the standing water last time it rained.
Since more rain is predicted. City: this is Front and Clinton. Do citizens have to clean them? Can bikes navigate standing water?
I remember when I first moved to Bloomington, June 1990, there was a reporter at the Panagraph who was taking pictures of city employees sleeping on the job and writing articles about it. A local radio station got in on it too and it turned into an embarrassing scandal for the city manager, Tom Hamilton, who when compared to David Hales, could almost pass as competent, dare I say it.
I will get pictures the next time. YES citizens have to clean the
streets and storm sewers. I have actually been out in the street in front of my house,
in “waders” with water above my knees. With one other neighbor; we cleaned out
3 separate storm sewers.
