Monday night at Council: Public Comment – sign up before 7:00 http://www.cityblm.org/Modules/ShowDocument.aspx?documentid=9124
Same meeting – time undetermined: Public Comment will be allowed again on Raising the Sales Tax. If you want more of your money stolen by government, stay home. They will be happy to take more.
If you live in Normal:
The McLean County Regional Planning Commission is doing a survey for you. http://www.planitnormal.com/home
Be careful how you answer the questions. Some are meant to get the results they want by making you feel bad for saying “it’s not important”.
The MCRPC skews things big time, no different than the reigning regime.
MCRPC were taking surveys at the BloNo event where the free bicycle lights were being distributed. Wonder what responses were gathered there–I can only imagine.
They specialize in surveying people who give the answers they want
There was no outreach to my Ward. At least 1/3 can’t afford the amenities or the taxes required to support the economic development.
And can’t afford to go elsewhere to shop. Sales taxes are the most regressive kind of taxes. Sad to see that once again the playgrounds of the elites will be built on the backs of the lower income.
I will be printing more inspiration to fight tomorrow
Monday night’s Council meeting will have 2 public comment sessions. The first is at the beginning of the meeting (total length of time 30 minutes–3 minutes/person). The second is a public hearing where everyone has to be given a chance to speak–although only 3 minutes/person. Come early and fill in a card before 6:55 pm.
