Where you get news matters!

By:  Diane Benjamin

Remember the kid in Texas taken off to jail in handcuffs because of his “homemade clock”?

Today the bird-cage liner editorialized about how wrong that was.  Too bad they have no facts.  Associated Press doesn’t investigate any more than your local supposed news source.  He wasn’t an innocent kid!

Irving Texas, where the kid went to school, has been targeted by CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations).  The United Arab Emirates has named CAIR a terrorist organization.  Our country doesn’t care.  A group of radical Muslims in Irving Texas wanted their own Sharia Court.   http://www.thepoliticalinsider.com/muslims-are-angry-at-texas-mayor-after-she-stops-sharia-court-here-is-her-epic-response/

The “clock” kid’s dad hangs out with the local CAIR group.

Stories of how the kid DIDN’T build a clock are all over the Internet, here’s one:  http://blogs.artvoice.com/techvoice/2015/09/17/reverse-engineering-ahmed-mohameds-clock-and-ourselves/

Besides, who builds a clock the counts down?  It beeped in the second class the kids took it to, after being told by the first teacher to put it in his locker.  If Muslims feel discriminated against, why did he bring on obvious fake complete with lots of wires to school?  Why did his parents hold a press conference with CAIR instead of talking to the school?  Research yourself!  Those who care to be informed need to find real news themselves.

Tons of facts are available, but the bird-cage liner would rather not know.  Thanks for promoting low information America Pantagraph!

More news missed by the Pantagraph:

The cage liner still thinks Global Warming is real.  I guess a top scientist who resigned and called it a scam isn’t news:  http://www.sott.net/article/277349-Top-scientist-resigns-from-post-admits-Global-Warming-is-a-scam

One more:  Remember the Vogel editorial stating that banks shouldn’t allow conceal carry?  Gee, Stevie.  Bank robbers bring guns to banks.  Maybe you need to see what an armed citizens IN A BANK does to an armed criminal:  http://www.theamericanmirror.com/detroit-area-bank-robbery-ends-when-armed-customer-opens-fire-on-suspect/

Seriously folks, still paying them to deceive you?

  1. Many yrs ago the Pantagraph & several other papers owned by Lee had a big AP article about the guy near Ellsworth that had 7 wind turbines. They said he got $35,000 for each tower every year. I called the paper & told them that was incorrect & he was supposed to get $5,000 for each one making a total of $35,000 a year. The woman I talked to said “It’s an AP article so it has to b correct”. OMG! I told her if that was true he wouldn’t bother opening the doors to the machine shed to get his equipment out. I asked her to check & she said it had to be correct. A month or two later they printed a shorter version saying $5,000 each but of course no mention was made that the amount had been corrected. Slandergraph not Pantagraph!

  2. Is your issue we shouldn’t have religious law unless it’s Christian? My ancestors in the Catholic faith had to go through quite similar trials as Islam followers in America. Why don’t you look up what Oregan did in 1922 or any parochial school. Or what the KKK though of them. Heck JFK had detractors simply because he was Catholic. Wow all that history of what not to do. And here we are again spreading hysteria and paranoia. Funny how we forget our own history abd push an idea because people are afraid of other religions.

      1. Shariah Law. It was mentioned in your piece. Therefore it equals relavant. Your article is littered with fallacies so where to begin. If his dad hangs out with CAIR, it makes no more difference then if you hang out with someone who is a part of the biker gang. His dad hasn’t been arrested for anything but you assume with no evidence to support it that he must be doing something wrong or is guilty by association. And further more, you want to say Ahmed is not innocent because of what his dad chooses to do, should we automatically think he is up to no good because he was tinkering around with electronics. Stalin’s daughter lives in Wisconsin so she must be bad too? By the way CAIR cares about religion. That is why it exists. Almost laughed when I saw that comment. But we also give millions to rich Saudis who turn around and fund terror groups. That little secret is between you and me. Because Islam is bad right? No?

        1. There is a lot more to this story that I didn’t print in the interest of space. Google it. Islam isn’t bad, Islamists are – you know those radicals who want everybody to convert or they chop your head off?

      2. Are you mad because I am not validating your opinion? By your comment I believe you are implying that I am somehow skirting an issue. I think you just ran out of claims without solid backing. Full disclosure. I used to think the exact same way. That piece you wrote above was me 10 years ago. I was a MAD person. I am talking thinking all Muslims are terrorists and blacks are bums and criminals. Liberals are anti-American. Until I realized, that the politicians who esposed these same views had no problems sending or taking money from people who help incubate strife and conflict. Saying one thing and doing another. We are spying on terrorists but we are also collecting information on other potential problem makers. It’s all to divide and conquer, not unify. Younger demographics get this and it means more moderates, liberals, and socialists will get attention. Rand Paul is getting love because he wants to legalize it. Conservatism will see deminishing returns if it can’t filter its often single minded opinions.

        1. Did I ask you to agree with me? If your facts are different, I really don’t care. I have never been a MAD person. Truth matters, I stand by everything I wrote.

    1. Hey Mikey. It’s not hysteria and paranoia. Although that’s what the kid’s father wants you to believe. Did you know he believes Sharia law should be implemented across the country? Did you know the father is actively trying to establish Sharia courts in TX? Did you know the father’s a leader in a radical Mosque that advocates chopping your hand off for stealing? That his father advocates 4 men must testify in a rape trial before a woman is to be believed? Did you know the “clock” is really a countdown timer? Did you know radical Islamists do NOT separate religion from politics? That politics IS religion to them? Do you REALLY think this is about “fear?” Do you REALLY think this is the same as the questions JFK faced? C’mon. You voted for Tari didn’t you?

      1. Funny you should mention this stuff about his father without providing evidence. I googled his dad and he is a Muslim activist. He ran for president of Sudan twice against the guy who hosted Bin Laden. Not even the red America pages mentioned it. So enlighten me as to where you are getting such information. Because either Google had blocked said information or you are going to some dark places to get it. It is fear and it hurts the brand of conservatism when people only say what they think they know rather than do some actual research. There were people who did not want JFK as president because he was Catholic. But what difference does it make when this day in age you have Ben Carson saying he doesn’t want a Muslim president? And the same JFK supporters agreeing with Carson. What’s the difference between Islamists and people who advocate for Judeo-Christian values being used in America’s courts? Think
only Islamists want to use capital punishment? Not much. You should read about Ahmed’s dad but I know it won’t change your mind because he has to be hiding something, right? No, I didn’t vote for Tari and I voted for Alton Franklin for alderman. I agree with Diane about what she has found locally and he provided EVIDENCE to support. What does that tell you? I support options based on evidence and not rhetoric.

      2. And you have NO evidence to support it. The police had no evidence so they dropped the case. A bomb maker for a terrorist group could make a detonator using a common wristwatch. But does that mean someone should be detained because they wear a certain wristwatch? Perhaps the law itself leads something to be desired? Sounds like law enforcement could have avoided the whole ordeal if they just talked to the kid.

        1. You also missed the report about the kids NOT talking when the police arrived. He was handcuffed because the local law mandates handcuffs for anyone over 12. At least you aren’t reading the Pantagraph for facts.

      3. Where are you getting this stuff?Do you know you don’t have to answer questions at all when being interrogated? It’s called the right to remain silent. All the chief said he was not very forthcoming, whatever that means. Sounds like they were wanting him to admit to something he was not doing. He requested a phone call and the police denied it. He’s a minor. He should be able to talk to his parents. The police knew it wasn’t a bomb but they tried to get him for something. He was talking, just not giving the answer they wanted to hear. The police will be in trouble for this because if you are questioning a juvenile, they have a right to be accompanied by a parent or guardian or lawyer. It doesn’t sound like they interviewed all the school officials involved. The chief admitted they didn’t have all the information. Well that would require real police work right? No matter what, the police botched the investigation because anything he said after he requested a call to his parents is not admissible because it is illegal to deny a juvenile representation according to Texas law. What else did I miss that you want me to explain? Or did Breitbart find out Ahmed doesn’t like apple pie?
