2015 EmployxCompared to 2006, State Farm looks relatively stable.  What you really need to compare this list to is what it said LAST year:  Page 179 – http://www.cityblm.org/Modules/ShowDocument.aspx?documentid=7479

2014 employz

Here is 2014 and 2015 side by side:

2014-2015xState Farm shows a large decrease, BroMenn, OSF, and ISU show large increases.  What happened to TEK Systems?  They didn’t make the list in 2015, neither did the City of Bloomington.

It looks like the area’s future is mainly in education and healthcare.  Mitsubishi won’t make the list next year.

  1. A loss of 2,877 total jobs over the past yr. is a disgrace and is reflective of the liberal tax and spend liberals driving business out of this city and state.

    1. Where are you even getting that number from? I am getting 733 jobs lost. Perhaps there are other factors at hand? You can only reduce taxes just so much before it becomes the businesses’ problem.

  2. I just got a call that 4 people were let go at OSF after 20 years employment in a cutback and not sure if there were others in other departments facing the same problem. Also did you see the bowling alley on Veterans is cosed and for sale. Another business bites the dust.

      1. That bowling alley closed earlier this year. Not surprised since the nearby neighborhood has a large criminal element.
