Allin Township-ask Eidenmiller to explain this

By:  Diane Benjamin

How would you like to receive paychecks with the per hour rate calculated at the whim of the guy writing the checks?

All of the below are from the pay stubs received by Josh Deterding.  All the pay stubs are computerized and, unless listed, all paychecks were for 80 hours.  The rate per hour looks like Scott Eidenmiller decided it himself.  Then, when Josh worked overtime, the rate per hour was just dropped to compensate.  Even if paying overtime is debatable, the ever-changing rate per hour isn’t.

I wanted to list the pay periods, but some of them are obviously incorrect.  I opted for pay date instead, even some of them don’t make sense.

Josh Deterding has filed a complaint with the State of Illinois.  A payroll audit could be early next year.  Evidently Josh isn’t the only employee having problems getting paid the correct amount.

Josh has been arrested for felony theft.  If found guilty he could go to jail.  What are the penalties for Scott Eidenmiller?  So far, none.  He even continues to collect a paycheck.  If the trustees continue to support Eidenmiller’s far from adequate accounting skills, the whole bunch needs to be replaced.

Now that the Stanford police car is totaled, common sense would say ditch the police department and go back to paying Danvers far less.  Common sense hasn’t prevailed so far.  Citizens have to demand accountability from both the Village and the Fire Protection District.
