Back in December I wrote about a confidentiality agreement the Clark County Park District forced John Kraft from Edgar County Watchdogs to sign. You can see it here: http://blnnews.com/2015/12/31/clark-county-park-district-not-confidential/
The Park District thought they could bury the settlement with a stupid statement signed by John. Evidently they forgot the check issued to Kraft for his expenses – as in HE WON – was subject to FOIA. Funny how John’s expenses are much cheaper than mine to file a lawsuit.
Here’s payment from them to John:
Hiding information from taxpayers seems to be a disease infecting many levels of Illinois government.

How much were your expenses to file the lawsuit?
$258 just to file it, plus $195 to the Sheriff to serve papers.
