Women: Evidently this is for you

By:  Diane Benjamin

I can’t imagine men dying to attend.

Since the BCPA doesn’t make money, the tax dollars of Bloomington citizens will be used to fund this show.  Note:  No one under 18 can attend.  Also note who is sponsoring this event – see the bottom of the pic.

A video preview is available below – yes it’s what they advertise.  This cultural decline is encouraged by your government using your tax dollars.  Since the BCPA doesn’t print event recaps, we won’t know if this show makes money.

The mission of the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts is to create an environment where all forms of artistic expression are appreciated, encouraged and seen as a contribution to the quality of life in our community.

Two naked guys on a stage contributes to your Quality of Life?  What does it contribute to the community?  The Scottish Rite Temple was rescued for this?

  1. Tari and Koos have FRONT row seats and their rainbow gear at hand!
    Watch the AMAZING shrinking budget!
REALLY? This passes for entertainment? How about a dog that burps the National Anthem?? I think I’d watch that!

    1. I know this is sick and if it were playing anywhere else the protestors would be having a field day with Koos and Taxin Tari leading the way. But on a lighter note. I won’t pay for a dog burping the national anthem, now if he can fart it…..

  2. For those objecting on a morality basis, normally I’d say, ‘Then just don’t buy a ticket’, but Tari already rifled through your wallet and bought one for you…

Other than the taxpayer subsidy, I’d say the show looks interesting but I probably have better things to do with my time. If the lefties who brought this to town think it’s worth seeing, they should pay full freight or go see it in Chicago or Peoria or wherever…

  3. My only moral objection is the use of taxpayer dollars. In an effort to promote the transparency Tari claims to have, I tasked myself with writing a more accurate mission statement. (My words added in bold.) Here goes… The mission of the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts is to create an environment where CERTAIN forms of artistic expression are appreciated, encouraged, SO LONG AS THEY ARE APPROVED BY GOVERNMENT WITH THE COUNSEL OF LEFTWING IDEOLOGS and seen as a REDISTRIBUTION FROM THE MAJORITY OF CITIZENS to PAY FOR the quality of life FOR CERTAIN POLITICALLY PREFERRED PEOPLE AND/OR VOTERS in our community.

  4. How many thousands of dollars will this “entertainment” lose? Probably a whole lot… just like most of the shows that are foisted upon us at the BPCA. Seems like most of the acts presented there are nothing more than welfare for traveling entertainers.

  5. Not long ago, the person booking this show would have been fired immediately! However this could serve as a precedent for other establishments to bring in the male dancers, female mud wrestlers, strippers, etc. Looks like the naked can of worms will be opened. Holy Toledo Batman! Gothan City is infected with filthy cockroaches!

  6. Perhaps this opens it up to the bars to start Wet T-Shirt Contests with no fear of prosecution. Lol, let the games begin! Bout time for the big boys to move in and open a strip joint, 3 o’clock bar closings. Yeah baby, great move BCPA! The smut sellers will have you to thank. Peoria ain’t got nuttin’ on us!

  7. There is a lengthy city code that deals with this, there is a line that’s states “No performance within 500′ of a religious congregation”. I believe Holy Trinity is within that distance?!

    Chapter 37.5 : Section 1.1 : Title.
This Chapter of the Bloomington City Code, 1960, as amended, shall be known, cited and referred to as the Sexually Oriented Entertainment Business Ordinance of the City of Bloomington, Illinois and at times referred to as “this Ordinance” in this Chapter. (Ordinance No. 2002-24)

  8. So, appearing to pull a ball out of your anus is now “art” that must be subsidized by taxpayers? What exactly does nudity add to a magic show? When has a magic show ever been considered “art”. If they have more than 20 attendees at this show I’ll be shocked.

  9. Awwww, somebody and his little playmate got magic show kits for their birthdays so they thought “OH WOW cool if we take our clothes off too EVERYONE will come see us do our “magic – level one magic tricks” and think we are all that and we’ll be able to sit with the cool kids at lunch!” This, is pathetic, and anyone who pays money to go see this is a buffoon – I have seen street magicians for free who blow these two clowns away, and I hope this flop will teach BCPA to stop booking flops. But it won’t, because they don’t care. I’m not a prude, in any way, but I know “Naked magic” is just a gimmick geared toward the easily titillated and easily amused and it is truly sad that a place who touts themselves as providing “quality” entertainment for the high brow folks has sunk to this – what’s next, OH I KNOW Stormy Daniels! She’s been hitting the strip club circuit lately the pink hats and their orbiting soy-boys would flock to that.
