Why wasn’t this on the agenda Bloomington?

Bloomington will take 2 stories to cover, this is Part 1.

Check the Agenda, the below isn’t there: https://d3n9y02raazwpg.cloudfront.net/cityblm/259d37a5-7d4f-11ed-9024-0050569183fa-791fe512-602c-4d20-98c8-ecdbbed39134-1694194607.pdf

In lieu of declaring Bloomington a Sanctuary City a few years ago the Council opted to join “Welcoming America”.

Bloomington has a website dedicated to Welcoming Week activities coming up : https://www.bloomingtonil.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/28356/637982477484661849

Last night a number of immigrants told their stories of coming to America for a better life. Of course none were on camera because meetings are still at the BCPA where the camera angle never changes.

The sound is also bad so understanding what was said wasn’t always easy. It is easy to tell the difference between thankful people and the line of leftist who followed demanding affordable housing.

One group came for opportunity, the ones born here expect government to provide housing as “right”. September 17th is Constitution and Citizenship Day. Find that “right” listed, Life Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness doesn’t mean handing out goodies paid for by others. FYI – some celebrations will be on the 18th since it’s a Monday.

Of course open borders have made ramifications of illegal immigration a flaming issue especially with crime and housing. Is that why Bloomington didn’t put this presentation on the agenda?
