Below are 2 charts from the Bloomington Financial Statements that show Revenue over 4 years.

The first chart is on PDF page 25: https://www.bloomingtonil.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/27129/637709284831130000

The second chart is on PDF page 24: https://www.bloomingtonil.gov/home/showdocument?id=29768&t=638343020405529919

There is a lot of data on these charts, this is a recap of a few. Keep in mind the City is poised to raise your property taxes when revenue has already increase $50,500,000 in 4 years. Inflation has been good for government revenue! It still isn’t enough.

  1. Arena, Golf, Culture, Recreation, none of which is the responsibility of the government with tax payer money.

    1. City is over staffed with employees making salaries and benefits that are far above prevailing wages in comparable private sector positions.

Bloated and top heavy admin/mgr roles with little daily value added output are costing you and me and our children the future quality of life they deserve.

City employee numbers need a hard cut back and the defined benefit pension needs to be switched to a 401 K like the rest of us working schleps are stuck with.

City employees are NOT intended to be privileged elites.
