It’s going to be hard to see, but this is a City of Bloomington truck dumping salt at a private gas station – corner of Main and Oakland. Did they salt your business or is this just a “government friend”?

Interesting!
I am sure they will TRY to pass it off as an accidental salting =)
That Huck’s location has been on my radar because they ALWAYS advertise diesel at an insane price.
And I wondered if The City (I mean us dumb taxpayers) is buying diesel from that Huck’s location for the city trucks and equipment?
To illustrate my point =
Right now that particular Huck’s location is selling diesel at $4.59/gallon.
Another Huck’s location at Main & Hamilton is selling diesel at $3.35/gallon
$1.24/gallon more at the location that is closest to the City of Bloomington trucks?
This is strange that the price is higher in the middle of town, but lower closer to the Interstate.
Seems like I typically see higher prices closer to the Interstate to “catch” folks who have to buy fuel no matter what the price is because their tank is getting low…
I can not read the marking on the truck. If I understand this right. The gas stations they have the video poker machines must sell
So much diesel in a month to “qualify”
As a truck stop fuel
Center. I have heard that if they are low on volume they discount the fuel. Tells me the video poker machines pay them good enough to sell some fuel at a loss
And I can not see well
Enough to read if truck has marking on it or not
Looks like guy was getting a soda and just leaving, prob forgot to turn the auger off. If the video showed him salting entire lot that’s an issue. But it doesn’t show that
That’s not a city salt truck, it doesn’t have a plow hooked up. All of them did the last few days. It looks like the truck that was salting hyvee. Which probably was an old municipal truck bought at auction. For the record the truck salting hyvee had a private company labeled on the side. Another one of your “let’s jump to an immediate conclusion” posts
Not my video, I believe the person who was there
I can understand thinking this is a city truck but it doesn’t have the city emblem on the door. I have a friend whose under contract with Hucks for snow and salt and he has a truck just like this one in the video.
