Part 2 with a link to Part 1: https://blnnews.com/2024/05/08/road-ratings-part-2/
Today’s edition covers north of Empire, east of Veterans, and north to where Bloomington ends on Fort Jesse. If you don’t understand a “3” rating, drive Fort Jesse. It is rated a 4 or better.

Much of this section isn’t old. There are still numerous roads rated 3 and many rated 4.
Hershey has a four lane area – .09 miles. That’s .09 x 4 = .36 lane miles
All the other roads are 2 lanes – 2.56 miles. That’s 2.56 x 2 = 5.12 lane miles
Add that to the previous total lane miles: 20.43 + 5.48 = 25.91.
That is almost 26 miles of really bad roads just east of Veterans Parkway. I’ve got more than half of the city left!
Anyone think the City could push a button or two and instantly know how many lane miles of “3” rated roads they mapped?
