Is Not In Our Town sleeping?

By: Diane Benjamin

Local antisemites want to put this question on the November ballot:

Shall the United States federal government and subordinate divisions stop giving military funding to Israel, which currently costs taxpayers 3.8 billion dollars a year, given Israel’s global recognition as an apartheid regime with a track record of human rights violations?

The group is using the Bloomington Township to do it. Hoping no one would notice, they called a SPECIAL meeting for tonight. They only want radicals to attend. That means everyone registered to vote in Bloomington needs to attend, vote, and send a message that we support Israel and the Jewish people.

There are Arabs living in Israel and in their government, there are NO Jews living in Gaza. The 10/7 attack on Israel as well as hostages still being held, including Americans, is the real human rights violation.

Where is Not In Our Town? Hate speech is fine now?

  1. This organized MOB tried this in Capitol township in Springfield Illinois. It got voted down. Keep your eyes and ears open folks.

  2. Incentivized “protests” and some are paid to instigate and do. Most normal people in society don’t have time or money to go to all ends to protest something they don’t even understand and MOB is a good word for it. Unfortunately, it will probably get worse in every “campaign” left funds.

  3. Hey Mike Matejka and Not In Our Town gang we are waiting to hear from you for some direction on this issue. Please help!

    1. NIOT was a local leftist joke from the start. First of all, Matejka is a St. Louis area pro labor union Communist just like Durbin. The rest of the club is comprised of white hating whites and minorities who think they can get their way through intimidation tactics. It’s a group of nobodies who like the media attention. The group does nothing for anyone and is completely ineffective.

  4. Mike Matejka 2021 town of Normal Citizen of the year and ‘Not in Our Town’ founder and brave NIOT pledge signer as a leader of NIOT has been absent as a 400 percent increase of anti Semitism has swept across college campuses. WGLT recently reported that Jewish students on Illinois State University campus were fearful and some scared to walk across campus.
I think the answer may be NiOT as a whole hates western civilization, Israel and the United States more than anti semitism and terrorist like calls for death to the United States.

  5. Hamas started this fight, the Palestinians stood silent while they were building tunnels below schools and hospitals. Isriel has a clear reason to destroy Hamas. Palestinians allowed terrorist to use their country to attack Isriel. I have no sympathy for Palestine. America need to allow Isriel to prevent further terror against their country. America has a terrible history solving conflicts! O wait, America (Biden) do a great job in Afghanistan.

  6. Not in my Town!!

My grandfather took part in and helped lead a successful liberation of a Jewish concentration camp during World War II. He had pictures, that he brought back as well as his accounts. Those pictures, along with his retelling of the past, affected me and my cousins, who, by the way all happened to have also served in the military, one is a Colonel in the Air-Force, the other retired as a Captain in the Air-Force and I as a Sergeant in the Army.

We were all profoundly affected growing up and seeing those pictures with his narration of events and the Jewish prisoners treatment, conditions, deaths as told from a first-hand account.

Now having a glimpse of this Jewish hatred here in America, Has really put intense fear for the immediate future, front and center.

    Never Again!!

  7. If you really want to know what is going on in the ME, read or listen to anything by Walid Shoebat. He was a Muslim terrorist that converted to Christianity years ago. He tells the unmigated truth about both sides. He is also up to speed on Ukraine. Neither outlook is encouraging.

  8. The fact that public comment is after the only relevant vote should tell you something. This may get approved, then people who voted for it can sit back and ignore the commentors
