Fitch Ratings, the smallest ratings agency, has always been the only one to have Normal at AAA.
On August 12th they downgraded Normal to AA. That is a huge drop – skipping over AAA- and AA+.
It looks to me like long term debt caused the downgrade and Fitch changing how they do ratings. Remember when I warned you the Uptown TIF revenue wasn’t going to pay off the bonds before it ended?
Bloomington now has a higher Fitch rating than Normal: AA+

Spend spend spend. Take on more debt. They don’t care. They’re not spending their money. They’re spending the taxpayer’s money.
Excuse my language but the dumb as:;@,? that have been keeping those in control in normal are to be blamed
I have more than once told those dummies that have said uptown looks nice that it comes at a cost you are all now in debt millions of dollars but these liberal left leaning demoncrats don’t get it how sad
People get off your butts and go vote clean house!!!!
Demand change if you are on the normal city payroll you have to live in normal
No more city wide council representation break out districts and elect those that live in your district
Time to dump the tea into the harbor
I haven’t heard of anyone running other than those that screwed it up
Why do you bother with anything Town of Normal? Those who vote in the Town of Normal have repeatedly elected the progressive socialist Koos Administration and like-minded council members. And, promptly booted from office those with moderate/conservative views.
And why bother to patronize any individual/business in the Town of Normal unless there is no alternative. Screw ’em!!
Bloomington and McLean County is quickly following the Town of Normal lead.
Proving I was right is fun!
Exactly!!!!
