Unlike the County where the Clerk in charge of elections is actually elected, BEC has this disclaimer on their site:
https://bloomingtonelectionsil.gov/november-5th-2024-general-election/specimen-ballot

On the County website you can locate what YOUR ballot will look like, it won’t have every office like BEC’s does. That is the difference between being able to hold an elected person responsible and nobody responsible at Bloomington Election Commission.
Instead of running a competent person against Michele Anderson, she is running unopposed:

At the same time a referendum to abolish her office is also on the ballot:

.
Both are on all ballots County wide. An external auditor does not look for fraud, an internal auditor does. It’s stupid to eliminate the office instead of replacing the person holding the office. If you vote to eliminate this office it will be just one more level of government you can not hold accountable. McLean County might regret that in the future.
If you are concerned about County Board member Corey Beirne’s wife (Abby Scott) running for alderman in Bloomington, this should worry you too:

Eric Hanson is married to mayoral candidate and Bloomington alderman Cody Hendricks.

Even if Cody doesn’t become mayor, he still has 2 years left as alderman. Seems like Democrats love nepotism and power. Of course this is Illinois where voters allow corruption and keep voting for it over and over and over. Your choice.
More on the election in the future.

Vote No on the Illinois Constitution thing. We don’t want that document opened at all.
BEC (and “partnerships”) and handling of data and anything with voter data, ballots, ballot questions and system in county and state and fed election is a huge security and safety and integrity issue for McLean County and state elections.
Clearly nepotistic IT/ projects are how these people keep going $$ data and platform abuses
The Dem teams and funded “Mobilize” app and web form process and workflows for Dem Office Holders for questions and events seems to have some signature process, data and replication or role based access issues.
Just curious who manages this & why the feedback from elected officials to constituents who use those “contact” web forms is and what 3rd party/vendor is being integrated with and paid and used.
Been getting mass emails, calls and emails since filling out a question/web/contact us form (perhaps test or cloud data or certain platforms are is being used?)
Curious
