What’s the real Ty Carlton story?

Remember this story? https://blnnews.com/2024/02/21/bloomington-police-sergeant-fired/

I filed more FOIA’s I didn’t write about. I got emails that said nothing, some pages were totally redacted. Some emails had the text redacted. I received text messages that were also hearvily redacted and didn’t say who was texting who. Re-reading them it appears Ty’s wife and one of the people who was never charged in the doctor’s case were authors. Since they aren’t labeled I can’t be sure, but they are mentioned in the document below.

It always seemed strange to me that a 22 year employee would suddenly go rouge after receiving many awards. https://blnnews.com/2024/03/01/ty-carlton-awards-speak-volumes/

In August Carlton filed a lawsuit against CITY OF BLOOMINGTON, JAMAL SIMINGTON, CHAD WAMSLEY and PAUL WILLIAMS, all individually and in their official capacity.

The lawsuit means there is more to this story that has been kept hidden. Excerpt:

I FOIA’d emails from that time period and did not received an un-redacted copy of it. I might not have even received a redacted copy. Transparency anyone? If Simington violated the law he should be fired. Targeting “white” people is a violation of equal justice under the law.

Another excerpt, tension started before the above:

The lawsuit spells out a different story than what was told. It is lengthy but worth reading.

  1. 4 of 5 basketball players white, duh! I believe that is called the most qualified person gets the job or position I believe when it comes to athletes those that demonstrate better athletic abilities get the job.
Until we stop sticking or categorizing
color to every aspect of our lives racism will never end,
I look at a persons character what do they bring to the table?
We have laws if a person is breaking one of those laws they will get stopped you add color to the equation now you are sending a message to those of the opposite color go ahead break the laws your odds of getting stopped are now lower,

  2. Simington is a DEI snake. Elitist who thinks he knows it all.

    Wamsley is good people.

Got real reservations about how this Ty guy was treated and whether what he allegedly did merited termination.

  3. B-N and McLean county are notorious for retaliation (citizens, family, employees, industry and HR partners etc) if you report any compliance, ethics or abuse of system or authority.
Multiple examples. This suit is not outlandish most likely. Profiling and targeting is taking place in area for some time in the name of “public safety” and fairness.

  4. The real story is our chief is a BLM supporter who is attempting to go after the white people. He, Wamsley and Williams need to go. They are not interested in crime. They are more interested in kissing babies and shaking hands. The real officers we should protect are those on the street. Administration is a failure and will not be held accountable because our city council is full of progressive lefties. Why doesn’t BPD and NPD try and do proper investigations? NPD is really bad…protecting one of their own from domestic violence. Disgraceful..
