Last night’s meeting wasn’t as long as the video shows. The commercials before the meeting used 10 minutes and comments by the City Manager, Mayor and the Council lasted another 15 minutes.

It looks to me like this map only shows where leaves have been picked up once. I don’t see a schedule for pickup. Just make a pile and DON’T put them in the street.
The change to the noise ordinance was pulled from the Consent Agenda for discussion. City claims it just clarifies the existing ordinance to include public spaces for non permitted events.
The resolution to protect the Mahomet Aquifer of course passed. Nobody has a problem with protecting water!
Had enough Climate Change propaganda yet? Wind turbines and solar panel fields litter valuable farmland that feed the world. How much Carbon is actually in the atmosphere? You won’t find carbon – it’s carbon dioxide that we exhale and plants use for food. The percent is infinitesimal. Capturing it and injecting it in the ground is just the latest stupid idea to redistribute your wealth. Plant more trees and create more green spaces if you really believe .04% carbon dioxide can change the climate.
Has anyone figured out what melted the glaciers that used to cover much of Illinois? Was that Climate Change and proof the climate constantly changes?

The stated purpose is to provide better service and attention to details. It also grows the size and scope of government. I’m not “excited”.

Diane…this Post is GREAT and “thank you” for putting in your “Climate Change propaganda” comments. For years I’ve subscribed to a variety of “ARCHAEOLOGY” magazines and guess what I’ve read…over and over; many decades….and even a century of research….all over this globe where their research has “factually” proven…. EONS of the “climate changes”…. and EONS before anything was ever powered by (horrors!) gas or oil. What then, does this tell us? Well…. it tells me that its been God’s plan all along. Those UGLY and currently rather short-lived OIL & ELECTRICITY USING ‘wind turbines’ are yet another HIGH DOLLAR farce. 🙁 🙁
