Below is an Amended D-2 filing with the State Board of Elections by the committee created to abolish the Auditors office.

Note the beginning cash balance. No filings were required until $5000 was raised/spent so all the contributions aren’t listed. I do know where some came from:

Lizzy Johnston transferred money from her campaign fund to this PAC https://tinyurl.com/3jn565rf

Total $1871.44

Now see this previous filing: https://www.elections.il.gov/CampaignDisclosure/CDPDFViewer.aspx?FiledDocID=o%2f4GqHuh%2fYRFO2BBSYId7Q%3d%3d&DocType=y4%2bQAKnRNtkuIDOSztTByg%3d%3d

On the amended D-2 filed just a few days ago the contributor’s name was changed: https://tinyurl.com/2ua9hsd2

The same link shows expenses to refund contributions by Trevor Sierra and his wife:

These contributions by a former County employee and claims of collection in the County offices is what triggered an investigation.

Below is the purpose of the PAC as listed on filings:

Help elect responsible candidates to office in McLean County and advocate for the elimination of the elected office of County Auditor.

The PAC did not run a candidate. They should have instead of attempting to abolish an elected position.

Where are the other contributors? If they wrote checks they can be tracked by investigators. County Board members need to quit hiding. The name of this PAC is MC Citizens for Government Accountability. If the public doesn’t know who contributed there is no accountability.

  1. I hope they can prove this.

Do they really believe that the original documents aren’t already printed, saved in PDF format, and also stored online, as well as on a memory stick?

I’m alleging that this “Amendment” to the D2 may potentially be a fraudulent act. Not only may it show intent or to commit actual fraud, but be actual campaign fraud, we may be witnessing the the commission of campaign fraud. Potentially, the attempt to coverup a crime, or have the potential to be a violation of “falsification of documents”, in my opinion.

Unless they produce an actual bank Check dated and cleared or similar evidence proving Joe made the campaign donation. Besides, the other report shows clearly, funds transferring to the “Vote Yes!”/MC Citizens for Government Accountability PAC from Elizabeth’s own campaign account into the fund the campaign supporting the referendum against the Auditor and the elected position.
