Bloomington will swear in newly elected officials on May 1. Since the ceremony is at the BCPA, it probably won’t be live-streamed. Will it be recorded?
In 2017, elected officials were sworn in with an incorrect oath that omitted mention of the Constitution. Tari Renner claimed the wrong oath was pulled from a drawer.
Those who took the wrong oath were in office until December of 2017 when the correct oath was provided: https://blnnews.com/2017/12/07/new-oaths-forthcoming/

1 week from today in case you want to attend to make sure the “wrong card” it’s pulled from the drawer again.

The pageantry and ceremony that accompanies the swearing in of midsized midwestern city’s Mayor is truly a sight to behold.
Overpaid & benefited city employees clapping and nodding in approval as if their paycheck depended on it. Seeking proximity , the staff salivate at the what the next 4 years might bring – the Grift – jobs for family , perhaps even a spiked pension.
The boundless possibilities of a new Mayor and Council attract them like flies to manure … just like the last time a new one was sworn in!
And of course the local media chronicles the forced spectacle as if suddenly the towns sidewalks will stop being cracked and the potholes will disappear and the sewers will flow properly.
The BCPA was built for this.
I think it was built by Shriners, so supposedly based on God. What has been done to it is evil. The only thing that was holding the evil at bay was Holy Trinity and now that’s gone.
