Last night’s festivities were full of misinformation by citizen speakers. Of course that’s why the 1st Amendment exists. It’s vitally important for all people to have free speech and the ability to address their government. Public Comment had to be extended over 30 minutes so all of them could speak.
Comment starts at 8:50. They were mostly about outrage at the nazi flag flyer and again about the Wesley United Methodist Church’s event where a Bloomington police officer was canceled from speaking. More on that in a minute.
Not In Our Town tried to bully council members into signing their pledge. They probably didn’t realize they gave the creator of the flyer exactly what he wanted. NIOT provided publicity over a march that was never going to exist. Congrats, that person won by creating chaos in the crowd that is offended by everything. Was this just a Jussie Smollett stunt? Until the author is identified, which is probably never, we don’t know.
One public comment not to miss is this lady at 37:50. She has a serious case of TDS that needs treatment:

Of course Mollie Ward went on one of her diatribes. Of course she never mentions she is on the steering committee of NIOT. See 1:37:40
See City Manager Jurgens at 1:35:15. He provided clarity on why the Bloomington police officer was not allowed to speak at the Wesley event. At the last meeting a speaker from the church talked about their flyer being revised numerous times. The problem was it stated the police officer would talk about what to do during an ICE raid. That is why he was pulled. The police aren’t in the business of telling anyone how to avoid law enforcement.
Next listen to Michael Mosley at 1:43:41. His comments were brilliant. He fully supports NIOT but he stated their and Molly Ward’s bullying tactics to sign the pledge do the opposite of what was intended.
There were many emailed public comments. I will be FOIAing those. I suspect many tried to bully the council into signing the pledge.
Mayor Dan Brady purposely spoke last. See his comment at 1:46:45. His sincere comments should end the long line of personal attacks on him. The offended by everything crowd will likely not believe him. Normal people should listen. I cued his comment, just hit play:

Like the League of Woman Voters, NIOT is just another platform for the lefties to spread their views. What does signing the NIOT pledge card change? How will we notice the impact of this in Bloomington today?
The Flier and the Smollett option: Who wrote it? (one possibility)
Given what we know –
1. There are people that ARE capable of mimicking negative activities, to stir up their followers against people they disagree with. The Smollett incident is only one of many examples that could be given.
2. Many democrats truly consider Trump to be a Nazi sympathizer, and by extension all republicans. – Examples –
a. the “fine people” hoax was a twisting of reality by the media and democrat leadership but is still touted and believed even now by some democrats.
b. One of our council members said on their Facebook page that Trump “match(ed) with Nazis”. (I have the receipt) (This is just an example of extremism, not and accusation)
3. When you’ve been trained by the media to believe that someone is as evil as a Nazi you are likely to righteously justify doing, saying or printing things that you wouldn’t ordinarily. You are also capable of believing all sorts of lies about others.
4. The flier, appearing so close to the NIOT emphasis could be considered evidence for this option.
5. The wording of the flier seems contrived. It seems to be a backhanded attack on republican Mayor Brady.
6. I doubt that the writer of this disgusting flier will ever be found out, therefore they will continue to live in the darkness of their mind and return in the future to wreak havoc and generate hatred.
7. We will see if anyone shows up at the Farmer’s Market. There might be crazies among us looking for recognition that will be there.
It’s impossible to prove or disprove this conclusion. It is just one consideration that is not beyond the realm of possibility in this Twilight Zone of political discourse where fabricated characterization of people you disagree with is the norm. This is one twisted method by political bigots to paint others under cover of darkness with a broad brush.
According to the Pgraph article, sounds like the “bullying” work. Everyone on the council signed the “pledge” including Brady, who also went on a diatribe supporting everything NIOT wanted. If Mosley also signed, why the speech? It just illustrates again that BN leadership is useless. It’s the same personalities and families that have been running roughshod over the place for years. No improvements, no new business (except for what the local Clique wants), more taxes upon the old taxes, loss of residents, etc., etc. I seriously don’t know how anyone still there can put up with it. Complaining doesn’t do a thing because the local powers don’t care what you think. Quit being a pawn and get out of Illinois. If I can do it, anyone can.
Everyone didn’t necessarily sign
Is there proof? No matter, everyone still in McLean County will still put up with the garbage no matter the subject matter. One can complain or make speeches as much as they want but the status quo will be the status quo ten or twenty years from now. The governments and organizations like NIOT know they can get away with murder because most people are too comfortable or too scared to leave or too lazy. Sorry but in those cases, everyone deserves the misery.
Unfortunately, it’s not realistic for a lot of us to leave, I wish I could but life has me here right now. Oh but wait, fat Jelly Bean is going to tax us when we do leave so there’s that too. I will say you are correct about those not voting, we get what we get because the same voters go out and vote for the same BS! I for one, vote in every election, I do my part to get rid of these clowns but everyone needs to do their part or we continue down this road of misery. Those who don’t vote deserve the misery not those trying to make change.
The acceptance of adults being who they want to be is okay with me as long as they are respectful about it and not trying to smash it into my face. That said the hidden agenda of outright brainwashing and grooming children toward deviancy from the norm is not acceptable.
Very strong possibility that the flyer was created and distributed by a leftist agitator , bitter Brady hater or even a NIOT member. Or person that is all 3 of those things.
