By now readers should know laws only apply to peons. Aldermen can violate City Code while campaigning for office and nothing happens to them. The City Manager can violate his $50,000 spending limit and nothing happens to him.
The latest:
A Planning Commision meeting was held last week. Since it was held at the library only audio is available.
I received it by FOIA:
Slightly over 14 minutes into this meeting “staff” requested a 5 minute recess. 14 MINUTES into the meeting.
City lawyer George Boyle was at this meeting. He and Planning staff member Alisa Pemberton exited the room. Alisa mentioned something about contracts and they didn’t know if they should be discussing this yet.
What happened next is the problem.
The meeting was adjourned but Alisa stated they could hang around to answer questions. My sources say there were at least 15 people there to testify on this issue.
The audio ends before any discussions. If discussions took place it was illegal for staff to hear testimony (opinions) outside of a meeting without the citizens being under oath.
To me this looks like staff wanting to know objections ahead of time so they can plan a counter narrative.
Prove me wrong.
They are so dishonest and deceitful. I’m not surprised. They routinely ignore proper protocol, laws, etc. It just gets in the way of their leftist progressive Marxist agenda. By the way, this is part of the local deep state, sewer. Unelected bureaucrats messing up the lives of taxpayers and fleecing us at every opportunity.
