Pictures of the Northern Lights were plastered across Facebook last night from all over our area.
I could only see faint color until I took these pictures about 9:30pm. The lights on the right side are oil leaking wind turbines. AI claims they might be visible every night until Friday. My cell phone camera worked better than my digital with a telephoto lense.

A week after strong geomagnetic storming gave half the U.S. a chance at seeing the northern lights, new solar activity could bring the aurora to nearly every state.
Early Tuesday morning, NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center reported that a strong solar flare was spotted on the sun, sparking a severe-level storm watch for Earth.
The agency warned that while there may be “detrimental impacts to some of our critical infrastructure technology…mitigation is possible.” These warnings are common during strong geomagnetic storms, but you likely haven’t noticed any such impacts.

My aunt in KS texted me photo’s her daughter took in KS and she asked me if I could see them. I went outside around 9:30 pm and I didn’t see it. The sky was clear and I could see stars real good. Maybe I didn’t wait long enough to see it. I will try looking tonight.
