You will never know!
Remember, ONE guy owed $22,105.11 https://blnnews.com/2026/02/07/unpaid-county-fines-bloomington-liquor-license/
This link shows what the Circuit Court policy for collections is: https://mcleancountyil.gov/166/Cases-Referred-to-Collections
Either none of the actions listed were enforced or none of them mattered. Was there a warrant issued for his arrest?
He supposedly owes an additional $6,631.53 for being turned over to collections. We will never know if the County actually charged him that. Keep in mind, he is only paying because he wants a liquor license from Bloomington.
I sent two FOIA requests to the County two days in a row. The first requested was denied because I was silly enough to believe somebody had a list and cared enough to track who wasn’t paying.
The second time I specified a 5 year time period, hardly “repeated requests” or what would be considered “unduly burdensome”:

The private sector would be able to produce a list because THEY care about THEIR money. Government doesn’t care because they know where to get more money. (YOU)

.
Courts in Illinois are allowed to bury information the citizens paying the bills should be entitled to know. It’s a private club and we aren’t in it.
The denial came from:
From FOIA Officer: Taylor Williams
Department: COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR
