Agenda: https://bloomingtonil.portal.civicclerk.com/event/4103/files/agenda/12675
I don’t have time today to analyze, read it yourself.
The only regular agenda item is exchanging some property with IWU:

.
Just so you don’t forget, the City has $1,400,000 in that part marked 807. https://blnnews.com/2025/07/16/flashback-to-2016/
The City bought it in 2016 to control development. So far no one wanted to buy it even with TIF subsidies. Who was mayor then? Tari Renner.
The part IWU is giving the city needs torn down. It’s been a sanctuary for vagrants – according to an area resident I talked to.

Since demolition equipment has been under contract since the “Elks” and “Front and Center” buildings have been razed, it should be extended to be used for the Market Street Garage and also the former IWU property. Maybe the city could strike a deal, demolish 4 building for the price of 3.
Any update on the Apartments on Empire on the other parcel the city owns (so they can control who develops there)
