Bloomington Committee of the Whole agenda: https://bloomingtonil.portal.civicclerk.com/event/4130/files/agenda/12818
The only Regular Agenda item is WATER. Making sure residents have water in the future is going to be expensive.
See the Technical Summary: https://bloomingtonil.portal.civicclerk.com/event/4130/files/attachment/9574
I suggest jumping to PDF page 15 so your eyes don’t glaze over before getting there.
The really expensive fixes start on PDF page 18:
Dredging Lake Bloomington: $50,000,000
Illinois River: $175,000,000
Mahomet Aquifer: $75,000,000 to $125,000,000
If someone wants to build a data center they should be told one of the above is the cost for water.

How many years are they going to continue kicking the can down the road and go to a well system to supplement the supply? As far back as the 1990’s I remember the lakes being a problem. As soon as the stores dropped a pallet of drinking water it was gone in no time.
Better yet just move out of IL if you can.
