Jennifer McDade is quitting the Bloomington City Council for “personal reasons”. Her petitions were challenged when she ran in 2013 and enough of them were ruled invalid to get her off the ballot. She spent THOUSANDS appealing the decision and won at the next level – then won the election.
Now she is quitting. No word yet if a special election needs to be called or if Mayor Renner can appoint a replacement. If he can, I hope he considers Matt Koetters, only because he actually ran for the seat.
The last 2 times a Mayor got to make an appointment it turned into a comedy. If a special election isn’t called, I hope Mayor Renner can keep the same fiasco from appearing again. Maybe we can see some of that transparency in action.

I prayed real hard last night that Renner would realize that his socialist marxist obummer agenda is poison for Bloomington. That he came to (his/our) senses and resign as well. That the 2 or 3 of the potted plants would grow a pair (or even just one tiny prostrate filled) and send Hales off to a new unsuspecting sucker city somewhere else on this earth, or maybe Mars, I hear there’s water there. Seriously this would be an answer to my prayers.
Guess who ever Renner replaces Jennifer seat on the Council, he’ll put Miracle Grow in the pot, and clone him or her into his thinking, just the the other 6
She spent more money then any Alderman to get her position from what I heard well over $30,000 and then she resigns for Personal reasons??? Could it be because of her good friend Bernie Anderson? Hmmm…………Juicy Lucy!
