EVERY citizen of Bloomington needs to see their out of control Mayor. When the video is posted – start watching Renner’s rant and attacks on Alderwoman Stearns around 1:45, maybe a little before. Mayor Renner’s comments are outrageous and way beneath the Dignity of the Office of Mayor! His comments were personal attacks and completely uncalled for.
The other Aldermen had to step in to stop him. Alderwoman Stearns had to defend herself without the Mayor listening to anything she said.
Citizens: Is this the kind of Mayor you want?
Much more on this tomorrow!
Update: See the video at: http://blnnews.com/2014/04/29/mayor-unhinged-the-video/

Mayor Renner’s students and fellow professors at IWU will be embarrassed by the unprofessional, partision behavior he displayed this evening. The citizens of Bloomington deserve better leadership. After watching Mayor Renner’s meltdown tonight I only have one word to describe it. “BULLY”
My one word to describe his (all too frequent) display would be, “JERK.”
I don’t think they will be surprised at all. He is partisan. Always has been always will be regardless what he says. I had tears rolling down my cheeks from laughing so hard at his speech until he went bezerk.
He is out of control and that rant and personal attack was bizarre. I was expecting him to have a complete mental breakdown. Judy Stearns showed a lot of class and her response was perfect. Kevin Lower stepping in was great as well. KEVIN DID A FANTASTIC JOB TONIGHT SPEAKING OFF THE CUFF AND LOOKED AND SOUNDED LIKE A MAYOR!!
I just hope the public and the media sees what a buffoon Tari really is. Slick move though, lowering the Utility Tax and guaranteeing its earmark to the pension fund by City Ordinance. Since Fazzini isn’t running for office again, I wonder if there was a quid pro quo was in order to get him to change his vote? Black wants all emails to the Alderman put into the public record. Great! I’ll make sure I include every nasty email response my emails from Renner or any other public official in my emails to the Aldermen so it makes into the record.
So, whoever is interested in forming a group to get together to help defeat those Alderman who voted yes for the Utility Tax and who are also up for re election, please contact me at ksgerrard50@yahoo.com .
I’m no fan of Judy Stearns. In fact I’ve often suggested that she should stay away from anybody with a bucket of water, BUT, the Mayor’s personal attack on her during the end of the meeting was totally unprofessional and just outrageous. We deserve better.
