As predicted, the $50 per bucket charge was just to make citizens happy the City settled on $25.  Celebrate now, keeping in mind the taxes you already pay used to pay 100% of this cost.  The increases since 2005 weren’t enough either.  Lesson:  There is NEVER enough money for government.

The budget for next year is $186,302,469 or more than $2300 for every man, woman and child living in Bloomington.  Party on.  It will be interesting to see what problems the City just created while trying to get more money from you.

Remember when Obama went after the Supreme Court prior to the Chief Justice rewriting ObamaCare to make it semi-constitutional?

Did it ever dawn on you Gov Rauner went after the Supreme Court of Illinois this week for the same reason?  You stated he blew his character, but not so fast.  I read somewhere (wish I could remember where!) that Illinois could spend ONLY for pensions for the next 3 years – ignoring everything else – and still not have sufficient funding.

Maybe Rauner if using the Obama playbook.  It worked for him!
