Bloomington: Your Mayor

By:  Diane Benjamin

The citizens of Bloomington were “Community Organized”. Check Renner’s campaign Facebook page. Did you fall for his false promises?

While running for office:

Now we know what consensus is: Shut down discussion and anyone who disagrees.

  1. Consensus on a divided council????? Since when has he had a divided council?? he has had at MINIMUM a 7-2 vote on anything he wants. Who is the idiot who asked this question?

  2. August of 2013: I believe that was the time when after previously committing 4 million annually from the General Fund for roads, Tari came up with a better idea… Issue a bond for 10 million and nothing from the General Fund. Then in 2014, institute new gas tax to supplement General Fund spending for roads in 2015. Now in 2015 (2016 budget year) only funds from new gas tax planned for road maintenance. Moral of the story… Nothing is impossible when we can tax and borrow our way to “Prosperity”.

    1. Last night they agreed to take $500,000.00 from the MFT Fund to be used for street lighting. Even less for infrastructure. The Hamilton Road extension was scrapped last month for the “One Voice” project with Connect Transit and McLean County Law and Justice Center for a bus transfer location for downtown. The nightmare continues.

      1. True. Unfortunately, the elected officials don’t always (or never) represent their constituents and are swayed by the prevailing winds.
