Don’t know what is more absolutely enraging, that the idiot Hales is paying $5.91 for water, or that the taxpayers are footing the bill. He needs to be gone–by any means necessary.

This NEVER ceases to amaze me, and for this month, ALL i want to know is HOW do you spend $350 at Panera? And it’s a LIGHT MEAL??? Do the Manager, Mayor and council now feed their 2nd cousins also? and I’ve been to Seattle and for $5 you can get a WHOLE case of water! THIS is just irresponsible spending! And it NEEDS to be STOPPED!

Regarding the total bill, I used to think the same thing. Diane can correct me if I am wrong here, but I think it just shows how much he paid for his lunch – not necessarily that he bought lunch for another person as well.
Regarding the matter of his most Rebuked Dishonor actually using money expropriated from the citizens of this town to feed himself, I can confess that it used to really bother me – but not so much anymore. After all, if I were in a position to get the governmentally challenged who inhabit this town to actually vote for me to be Mayor, I am certain that I would become just as corrupt and self-entitling as THAT pathetic nerdy little geek.
No. I don’t blame him at all. He is what he is…a wicked servant who could not be trusted with the talent we gave him.
I do, however, blame the citizens who allow it. It’s disgraceful!
If I spent that kind of money for meals in one month my boss would kick my ass out! HMMM maybe that’s what should be done here! Is Hales staying in Pres. suites? My unpaid vacation cost less than that!
With the raise we just gave Hales, can’t he pay for his own lunches and water? Why should the taxpayers pay for al these lunches that the Mayor and council people go to (except Lower)? Can’t they talk business over a cup of coffee? This just plain taking advantage of their positions.
