There’s a man who fixes up bicycles and gets them running and GIVES them to “needy” children, he USED to give them to HSHM, but NO MORE, as he found out they were selling them. Now they go by the HUNDREDS each year to Peoria children. He STILL does it, and delivers them to a Veterans group over there, which gives them away. WHAT does that tell you??
Silliness! Not to worry! The tax increase will go into affect on Jan 1st–Increased revenue–WHOO HOO! Too bad that increase in revenue won’t cover the $7.5M deficit. Additionally, money can be moved around between funds so if Legal spends their budgeted amount the money will be taken from somewhere else.
Section Four. Pursuant to 65 ILCS 5/8-2-9.6, and the home rule authority granted to the City of Bloomington pursuant to Article 7, Section 6 of the l970 Illinois Constitution, the Finance Director, with the concurrence of the City Manager is authorized to revise the annual budget by deleting, adding to, changing or creating sub-classes within object classes budgeted previously to a Department, Board or Commission, and to transfer amounts within a particular fund established by this Ordinance, with the restrictions that no such action may be taken which shall increase the budget in the event funds are not available to effectuate the purpose of the revision, and that the City Council shall hereafter be notified of such action by written report of the City Manager.
Don’t forget the bonding that is proposed for the coming year(s). Money is falling from the sky–NOT!
HSHM also requires those in need to put in hours of work before they receive any food.
