The information below was obtained through by the Freedom of Information Act. The Central Illinois Regional Airport auditors released this information in their report for the year ended 4/30/15.

The airport doesn’t rely on taxes and subsidies nearly as much as Connect Transit (http://blnnews.com/2015/12/17/you-are-being-robbed/), but CIRA is another example of “If we build it they will come” or if they don’t come – we’ve got the taxpayers. The chart below shows not only a decrease in Revenue for 2015, but Operations provides less than half of the Revenue (2.1% + 42.4%). The rest you pay for.
I’ve mentioned before that audits are NOT intended to detect fraud. These two notes were included by the Auditors in their report:

Obviously these types of government audits can’t be used to say fraud, theft, or other malfeasance doesn’t exists.
