CIAM hilarity continues

By:  Diane Benjamin

The newspaper is reporting CIAM (of 111 felony counts fame) is suing the City for commissions they are owed.

Sorry, I couldn’t help it.

Maybe the City could counter sue them to recover the costs of the auditors trying to figure out what the actual loss was for 2016!

How about recovering what the Bronner Group was paid to straighten out the mess John Butler left?

The final report for 2016 has never been posted on the website.  Pulling a shredding truck up to the building makes that possible.  http://www.cityblm.org/government/advanced-components/documents/-folder-411

David Hales, Tari Renner, and the Council did nothing to secure this taxpayer owned asset when the contract wasn’t renewed.

There was no agreement as to who gets what and who owes who.  Nobody changed the locks.  Nobody oversaw the transition.

YOUR government  screwed you out of what could be WAY more than the charges state.

Nobody from government has been charged with failure to perform their duty.

Why is that?  Acting stupidly gets a pass?

  2. More scandal on top of crimes on top of administrative incompetence on top of clueless leadership = a circular firing squad that couldn’t look or be worse for the city right now – pathetic

    • You should run for office, Lawrence. Fix from the inside, in addition to commenting here.

      • That worked out well for Stearns and Lower! They were attacked, vilified, and belittled by media and other government officials.

      • I am not much of politician – I have so many things that I do that it would be hard for me to donate the amount time necessary – I don’t really see much of a future for this area at all – in fact I believe that this area is on the way to being a little Detroit – a shadow of its former self – our major economic driver is being disrupted by many many InsurTech companies right now. Yes we are headed for vacant houses, closed businesses and more crime. I am not sure I want to be part of what our leadership has let happen here. Yes, our business and city leadership still does not address what is happening to our area. They are silent and soon thousands of our residents will suffer as the downsizing of State Farm continues and the ripple effect kills thousands of support and service jobs. I just want to leave.

  3. So complaining here is the best option? I’m more optimistic than that.

This has to be a legal tactic. Perhaps, they believe this lawsuit would expose some information or records during the discovery phase that would make the City look bad or uncover wrongdoing. Fingers crossed.

  6. The $1.1 million they stole is unreported income to the federal and state IRS. Pull an Al Capone and charge them with tax evasion.

I’m wondering who the first one or two to roll over are.
