BNTU: I’ve got a better a idea

Note: Facebook banned me from posting for 24 hours because I posted a newspaper article about COVID treatments. Please share stories on Facebook since I can’t.

Two representatives from the Bloomington Normal Tenant Union showed up at City Council to protest Jenn resigning because she is moving out of her Ward. Contrary to a commenter here last night, of course the demands are because of Carrillo. Illinois law says representatives have to live in their district, the council can’t change that. Want somebody who lives in Chicago representing you? Without that law it could happen!

What these two should be protesting is redistricting. Democrats are subverting “democracy” by creating boundaries to make sure republicans can not win. Do they care about people forced out of their district by democrat whims? Carrillo left on her own, Springfield forced others for political gain.

Instead of trying to change Illinois law on districts, what the State really needs is a RECALL procedure. We have people who run for office under false pretenses and when elected fail to represent their electorate. Citizens get stuck with representation for years that hurts their right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Take a poll in Ward 6 and see how many residents want the police defunded. Most people know the only wall between them and chaos created by those who don’t respect the law is the police. That issue alone would likely have gotten Jenn recalled if there was a procedure to do it.

Jenn wasn’t at the meeting in person. Since she claimed to be sick she was allowed to participate remotely. She commented at the end of the meeting about the two Public Comments. She proves they were about her:

This guy thinks whims of capitalism robbed citizens of democracy:

This was the second guy:

  1. will the city ward boundaries change as well, or is that being slow walked so citizens have little/no input ? Some of these wards are very oddly shaped and split contiguous neighborhoods , probably to protect incumbents the last time the boundaries were gerrymandered.

  2. THERE IS NO tenants union. There is a Landlord and Tenants Rights Act. Good luck with that statute. As far as Jenn Carrillo….does someone have a countdown clock that they can post for her last day??? Maybe that will help remind her that 2 lunatics showing up is not going to change anything. She was not evicted. She did not lose her home to domestic violence. Her home did not burn down. The OWNER sold the property after giving notice. No landlords in Ward 6 banned together to keep her out. Worst conspiracy theory I have heard. Oh…and I am not using the proper pronouns because she is a SHE and not a they. Doctors can prove that.

    1. Her resignation is effective August 31 which corresponds to the end of the eviction moratorium. Her lease expired June 30. I wonder if she paid rent or her water bill during the moratorium.

  3. Was yesterday the special on word salad? There were 3 word salads right in a row. On another note, and it might sound off subject, but it’s not, – WHY are they all wearing “face coverings”? Are they not “patriotic” Americans? The Left has proclaimed that it is patriotic to get vaxxed so as to protect their fellow citizens – and, IF they are vaxxed, then WHY are they insisting on wearing the virtue signaling mask? If more people would just LOOK at some of these people and the way they present themselves and behave they would be exposed for the tools and clowns that they are and be summarily dismissed as such, the first clown even had on his CPUSA T-shirt….Does it not seem a bit incongruous that he would be prattling on about democracy and voter representation while wearing his Communist T-shirt? I hear there will soon be a lot of “openings” in Cuba, it’s not that far, I’m sure he could relocate and be welcomed with open arms by the Cuban regime. I mean they have been “practicing” communism for a LONG time now, and they seem to have it down pretty well.

  4. These handful of people are probably thrilled that ANYONE is paying attention to them.
Their arguments are dishonest and vapid.

Here is where their anti capitalist, socialist thinking ends.
The politburo will establish all laws concerning property ownership and exchange goods and they will assign local representation according to party loyalty.

  5. Facebook isn’t frequently wrong, YOU are just frequently wrong. By the way, your hero Trump was credited with getting these Big Pharma companies to develop vaccines for COVID. So by your logic, Trump is complicit in helping these companies get their money? A 24 hour timeout would do you some good because you don’t have your thinking cap on.

    1. Your logic is beyond ridiculous. We were played by people trying to throw an election. COVID stats aren’t close to truth, a vaccine isn’t required when 99% survive. Trump and everybody else but the left pushing doom and gloom didn’t know this until much later. See how China is being held responsible? Oh, they aren’t.

    2. Whenowning…
Facebook is protecting the democrats with censorship as long as democrats can protect their monopoly power.
Socialism is the only thing that can protect both of them but Americans will rise up against that.

      1. Socialism/Communism actually REQUIRES censorship and monopoly power. It must be imposed by the government because nobody in their right mind thinks those are good things

  6. So, the guy wearing the communist party shirt is talking about….wait for it…democracy. Interesting.

  7. “It’s a Republic if you can keep it.” Benjamin Franklin

“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” Yep, for all to see it’s a republic.

John Adams wrote that “There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide,” and James Madison wrote in Federalist 10 that “Democracies have, in general, been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths.” The reason pure democracies fail is that majorities learn that they can legally take property and/or liberties away from others. Those subjected to abuse can be anyone outside the majority coalition, and their minority status can be based on race, religion, wealth, political affiliation, or even which city or state they reside in. Demagogic leaders become adept at appealing to the emotions of jealousy, avarice, and entitlement. They also denigrate opponents in order to justify prejudicial actions taken by the majority. Soon, oppression of minority classes causes enough conflicts to collapse the democratic process. < Credit here: http://www.whatwouldthefoundersthink.com/a-republic-if-you-can-keep-it

Sure would be nice if more people would use their head to research and think critically. Learn from some history.
    God Bless America!

  8. What ALWAYS amazes me about these kind of folks, if you will, is that they DEMAND change or DEMAND this or DEMAND that. They basically have forgotten the very PROCESS by which they got into power/office, but ONCE they get it, it’s like Darth Vader and the Death Star!
People that DEMAND stuff, USUALLY don’t get very far..
