Fly on the Wall: Local GOP accountability

Flying around I heard the local GOP has a new committee: Accountability Committee.

This committee was formed to hold GOP elected officials feet to the fire. If they don’t believe in the principals of the GOP they shouldn’t call themselves Republicans.

Anybody else know about this committee? Is it a secret? Is accountability to party values not required? Was it just approved to pacify the base?

  1. Could be because Craybill came campaigning through our neighborhood as a Republican candidate, gets elected, then shows his true blue Socialist agenda.

  2. It may help to identify “RINO’S” before they get elected. For decades I have had to vote for the better of two bad choices. Citizens need to encourage good persons to run, they would have to love America to tolerate the abuse.

  3. The local and state GOP is a small dog with no teeth, easily swatted to the corner by the Dems and their lap dog unions. The only opportunity for the GOP to make any inroads is only after the municipal pensions and HC debt implodes. Even then, I doubt if the GOP could muster the required common sense and critical decision making to muster a challenge to the Dems.

  4. This is great: let’s check to see if Kathy Lorenz and Scottie Preston are just posers? They say they’re Republicans to get elected, but then vote with the communists. Also, Dan Brady and Bill Brady claimed to be Republicans for so many years, yet they both stood aside as the Progressive Marxist Leftist cancer metastasized throughout the towns, cities and county. What good are/were any of them? If they’re simply just place holders to sit idly by while the communists infiltrate and take over, then what good are they? They’re nothing but traitors; liars.

  5. The Republican Party should help elect people who support Republican values. Think Barnett, Lorenz & Koos. I hope the Accountability Committee combats the problem of people campaigning as a Republican then voting against Republican values a.k.a. being a RINO.

If you don’t believe in Republican values then run as something else!!!’!!!!!!!

    1. Barnett, Lorenz, & Koos are not Republicans. Lorenz just wants to be popular. Koos is a proud communist. Barnett is not a Republican either. Just goes along to get along.

  6. Didn’t Adam Kinzinger say he was going to work to steer Republicans away from evil patriots since he isn’t running?

  7. The Republican Party is have a Valentine Fundraiser event with Ty Smith. My husband and I really want to go but I’m afraid Preston will be there and I won’t be able to be nice.

    1. The GOP should tell people at the fundraiser if their donations will be given to Republicans or RINO Democrats.

  8. The county GOP is pushing the well known RINO Scottie Preston for state rep. As long as the GOP leadership is stacked with RINO groupies this committee will be nothing more than a pandering tactic.

Not only has the county gone purple, so has the GOP board.

    1. Per State GOP by-laws, the McLean Co GOP is not allowed to endorse any candidate in the primary so no, they are not pushing him.

  9. I don’t need a committee to tell me who is fo’ real – I can do that myself in a very short amount of time.

This committee , if comprised of sane and knowledgeable individuals , may provide some useful context for the regular blo/no NPC sheeple that seem to get confused during elections with alarming regularity tho.

Best ‘o luck with that, really.
