  1. The survey includes several “What are…” questions but only allows 1 choice- – lol
As Justin Time indicated a 5th grader could have done better.

  2. If the Facebook comments are any indication, the EDC is out of touch and despised by the masses. The EDC doesn’t need rebranding, it needs common sense. In my opinion, rebranding is an excuse to not do the real work of attracting and retaining scaling, high-growth businesses. The EDC punches above their weight on the national and even regional scene, and is controlled by a handful of insular puppeteers who act as gatekeepers in the community.

    1. The focus of the organization changes each time a new director is named, therefore, no consistency or focus. Only CEO’ s of BN’s largest employers should be board members and totally finance the organization like most other effective EDC’ s around the country which lend real validity to business attraction and retention efforts. Organized labor has no business having a seat at the table because they bring nothing in the way of knowledge or experience only far left political interests. Besides, John Penn is a dinosaur and is only a state Democratic political operative. Taxpayers should not be contributing one damn dime so know nothing politicos with no business experience on a national scale can influence decisions of the organization. Economic development should be a regional effort in the area but BN, Peoria, Decatur, CU and Springfield can’t check their turf war egos at the door.

  3. BN Advantage was a ” local girls club” of know nothing women and had nothing to do with serious business retention and attraction efforts. It was an idiotic concept conjured up by Vasu P. thinking that promoting high end restaurants, shops and entertainment was somehow important to BNs development. It was a joke from day one and destined to fail. Their board membership was beyond hilarious but that is BN, isn’t it? What I was alluding to are what goes on in areas like Greater Indy, the Carolina Development Triangle and various locales in Texas. Georgia, Florida, etc. What BN Advantage was or was attempting to be wasn’t anything even resembling a serious economic development effort,, more like a girls night out.
