Who thought this was a good idea?

Fire Department?

The only cash they have comes from you. Even grants are still your money. Google gun buyback programs for more information. When the majority of the Council is socialist . . . .

  1. Who thought this was a good idea? The chief of police, mayor, city manager, and other local marxists who do not want law abiding citizens to exercise their second amendment right to defend themselves and their property. They do NOTHING about the real source of the problem–the Criminal Thugs who pull the trigger. That’s the problem they need to address, but refuse to.

  2. A city “gun buyback” is such a manipulation of words!
Buyback means to buy back goods by the original seller.
I am 99% sure that the city/fire dept/etc – did NOT originally sell any guns to the public – but they are offering to “buy” them…

What is the PURPOSE of this event?

The event seems like another government clown show!
“Receive Cash – No Questions Asked”
Ok, but the tax payers are the ones who have all of the questions!!
I mean tax payer money is used to pay people to turn-in what are most likely =
illegally obtained guns? or broken guns?

Next, will they publish stats so we can all see how much their “gun buyback” event cost us working schmucks?

  3. Finally everyone that will kill some one with their illegal gun will line up to sell their gun. I can sleep better tonight. Not!!!!

  4. They should have a gun safe buyback to allow all those people who got their sh*tty, gun-rusting boxes from the city to “sell” them back.

  5. The pantagraph just reported the shooting of the person in the car reported last week was accidental. So what happens the person that did the accidental shooting of course was released but with a court date. I can see it now a good defense, I was on my way to sell this illegal gun back.

Like I have stated before until the law requires that anyone using a gun in an illegal manner is locked up for a long time shootings and killings will not stop there is absolutely no deterrent. May not stop shootings and killings all together but will at least slow it down.

The gun buy back program will not fix anything what a joke!

  6. If you read the comments on their Facebook page, the whole how can you buy back something you never bought is addressed. The gist is that they just went with “popular” what they have seen before language. Never thought about the other implications. So obviously not very well thought out. And was it NFD or BFD that did a gun raffle last year that the charity then said they didn’t want the money?????
