The McLean County Board needs to protect the citizens of McLean County from the out of control costs of housing, educating, and healthcare for illegal aliens.
Pritzker is estimating $478 million has already been spent in Illinois. Legal Immigration must benefit the country, not fleece it’s citizens with millions of dependents.
Municipalities around the state know they have limited resources. Quote from the story: “Homer Township will not accept nor provide taxpayer-funded services to migrants and we shall return any individuals sent our way by elected officials from sanctuary cities or states to them.”
McLean County needs to protect their citizens. This should be a nonpartisan issue.
Contact the Board and demand action. Pritzker grants are still your money that can’t be used for essential services when it pays for care of people that should have been prevented from entering the country.

Republicans better propose protection before the Democrats do. Even though Democrats allowed the invasion, local ones will claim they care about citizens more than Republicans when they propose protecting your wallet.
Good luck with this. You know, of course, the loudest most left of our local leadership will scream racist at this and the others will listen. Your plea would fall on receptive ears in many down state communities but I fear BloNo is among them.

This is the culmination of a plan started 12 years ago by Obama and Hillary. Their remaking of America included the national Welcome America organization that filtered down to the kindhearted simpletons in democrat run cities and states that declared we are all Welcoming Cities no matter what. Obama sold the idea on the promise that legal and illegal immigration would “Achieve full economic recovery and maintaining America’s competitive edge.” Good enough for them, they bought it.
It hit the pothole of common sense with Trump, but Biden was compelled (forced?) to follow through with Obama’s welcoming plan even in the face of massive social tragedy.
Now we see what happens when half the country closes their eyes and lets progressive ideologs lead our country. And now we see that those simpletons turned out to not be so kindhearted after all, even angry.
If they had it to do over again, would democrats tell Obama to pound sand? I doubt it. Being hypocrites isn’t a big deal for them and virtue signaling is much more important than common sense.

In NYC they are kicking elderly out of nursing homes to house illegals. Sounds like something Koos would do in a heartbeat. Hypothetical question, if it cost $0 tax payer money, would you welcome these immigrants into our community with open arms? Why or why not?

Anonymous- even though zero cost is foolish to consider, no I would not encourage people to leave their homes and come to America illegally. I would encourage them to come legally and orderly not secretly or deceptively.
Because-
You still get cartels making billions, fentanyl killing thousands of our kids, human trafficking, the very real threat of terrorists that are now set up in our country for another 911 or worse, the harm and death of those that made the dangerous trip, thousands of children lost and separated from their families, unworkable strain in community’s healthcare, policing, education and other social care systems for citizens and the needy that is already lacking, politicians using illegals as pawns in their power games, I could go on. This isn’t just an issue of money but it probably will bankrupt us in the long run.
