Can anyone explain why Bloomington is losing jobs? Are business owners leaving this wonderful town because it can’t suck enough money out of your pockets? Are illegals working for cash and taking jobs away from citizens?
Imagine how much worse it would be without Rivian!

Young ones, Foreigners (who send their paychecks to other countries) and trans and leftists are taking jobs from skilled/experienced employed and insurance and university (industry) sold data and employees out! Public private partnerships while they all retire rich, get huge bonus and call it “innovation” and data analysis and strategy.
Its a pathetic joke. Highly paid “counselors” and public service and collection agencies/attornies and healthcare shills left. (all got lots PPP for free) Follow the $.
Gotta attract and keep those ESG scores high and surveillance systems a go.
Employers have exploited every age, race and background and so have systems partners and universities and Chamber.
Keeping and attaching young grads – and faking systems innovation.
Very accurate. You just described the planned economic collapse of America. It is happening elsewhere, just not BN. That said, BN’s economy will be among the first to die because it’s community leadership and corporate management is beyond stupid and highly naive and refuse to diversify. Rivian has a limited shelf life due to all the factors and more often discussed on this blog. It also has a high turnover rate of employees that leaders don’t want you to know about. It’s a company solely based on an energy lie with government support.
