This Public Comment happened on February 6th. The speaker states many facts and then asks what the Council is doing to protect the citizens of Springfield.

God bless the people who are willing to speak up. Shame on those officers who came forward to step up. His only threat was a loud voice.
All I can say is Springfield and Illinois is getting worse and clearly the people leading and running and the guy at the end has a lot of great points.
They should not have treated him that way at all.
The United States is (or at least was) among the least racist countries in the world. But that does not mean there is (or even was) zero racism. Many cries of racism are purely self-serving, but this guy seems legit. Given that Springfield has zero respect or consideration for the majority of IL citizens, it’s little surprise that they have none for minorities either.
